ABOUT ME

Sharon West has a lifetime of experience in the performing arts and continues to be dedicated to the arts and her students. She began her professional career at the ripe old age of six and has gone on to sing at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. She grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and has trained with some of New York City’s premier voice, piano and acting teachers. She majored in theater and graduated cum laude with honors. Sharon has taught Theater Arts in the NYC public schools. She is the founder and director of her own studio, “Sharon West Performing Arts Studio (SWPA)” aka “RockIt Performing Arts Studio” in the Boston area. She is now located in Norwalk, CT, where she says “great music abounds.” And Norwalk is only an hour’s train ride to/from New York City. At the studio, she is a private instructor in voice, acting and piano. Sharon is a fun and innovative teacher. Her wealth of experience has made her a well-rounded and forward-thinking teacher who knows how to communicate with her students. She has a great sense of humor with a serious commitment to her art and her students. A winning combination for you!
